After World War II, Alvis continued the production of high-class and superior performance cars, capable of competing with the best British brands. The 2993cc 6-cylinder engine was continuously developed, from the first models of 1950 until 1967. The TC108 / G model was introduced in 1955, when the TC21 / 100 had already existed for a couple of years. Compared to the latter, the 108 had a few more horsepower, while retaining all the mechanical architecture typical of the Alvis of that period. Production continued until 1958, when the TC108 / G was replaced by the TD21.
