In the 1950s, Italian coachbuilders often collaborated with American manufacturers. The Adventurer was a concept car designed in Ghia in 1953 based on a DeSoto, a make of the Chrysler group in business from 1928 to 1961. In 1954 an Adventurer II will be produced with a totally different style, then the name will be used on a production car between 1956 and 1960.
