The initials of the 2011 Ferrari F1 celebrated the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy. Initially called F150, the car had to be renamed F150th because of Ford's protest that it had registered the initials F150 for a popular… pick up sold in the United States. The 2011 season was not particularly bright for the Cavallino; the Vettel-Red Bull duo was too strong. Alonso had to settle for one win at Silverstone, among other things the same track where Ferrari had achieved his first Formula One success 60 years earlier.
