MwSt. inbegriffen €89.95 The Alfetta was the first Italian car to be fitted with a turbocharged diesel engine, a technical solution that was gaining ever greater success between the late seventies and early eighties. Alfa Romeo used a 4-cylinder unit produced by VM of Cento (Ferrara), deriving from an engine originally designed for marine use. This engine (type 4HT / 2) had a displacement of 1995cc (88x82 mm) with a maximum power of 82HP at 4300 rpm. The turbocharger was supplied by KKK. The Alfetta Turbo Diesel, known by the internal abbreviation 116B, was available until 1983, when changes were introduced to the range: the 2000 remained in production but with some aesthetic updates (type 116BA) and a 2.4 turbodiesel engine was added (Alfetta type 116B3, engine type 4HT / 2.4). Production of the Alfetta TD ceased at the end of 1984.
