In 1965 the Giulia Sprint GT 1600 underwent some improvements and the "Veloce" version (type 105.36, engine 00536) was born. The engine went from 106 to 109 horsepower, while the interior was modified and made more luxurious and sporty: the instrumentation remained the same but the dashboard was covered in wood; the shape of the steering wheel as well as that of the seats changed. The grille received three horizontal friezes. This version was also distinguished by the symbol of the four-leaf clover placed at the base of the rear uprights and by the word "Veloce" applied on the right on the rear panel. Compared to the 1600 standard, the range of colors was greatly enhanced. The "Veloce" remained in production until 1968.
