After World War II, Alvis continued the production of high-class and superior performance cars, capable of competing with the best British brands. The 2993cc 6-cylinder engine was continuously developed, from the first models of 1950 until 1967. The TE21 series was presented in 1963 and remained in production until 1965, when it was replaced by the TF21. On the TE21 the 3-liter engine produced 130 horsepower at 5000 rpm.
