NEO SCALE MODELS - MASERATI - A6GCS/53 BERLINETTA PININFARINA 1953

The A6GCS was one of the most extraordinary two-seater sports cars of all time: the latest version of 1953 (also known as A6GCS / 53) was characterized by an overhaul conducted by engineer Gioachino Colombo. There are countless victories in both class and overall that appear in the A6GCS / 53 palmares, which reached 52 units. Given the performance of this model, a coupé version was also thought of, and at the Turin Motor Show in 1954 a berlinetta (chassis 2060) was presented, built for Mimmo Dei, the owner of the Centro Sud Scuderia. The lines of the coupé represented a perfect synthesis of elegance and aggression: the low line of the roof integrated with the slender and charming shapes of the front and rear fenders. The characteristic oval of the grille, in which the classic trident was placed, went very well with the double headlight caps. The following year, Mimmo Dei himself had Celestino Fiandri transform this car into a Sport, with a new chassis number assigned by the manufacturer (2086). This first model was followed by three other Coupés, distinguished by chassis numbers 2056, 2057 and 2059.
