In the 1930s, General Motors dominated the land transport sector in the United States with its trucks and diesel locomotives. In 1954 the brand launched the 950, which was a COE (Cab Over Engine) which allowed it to tow longer vehicles than the competition thanks to its reduced length. In reality it was a semi-advanced cabin, which allowed GM to draw a particularly aerodynamic and also original line. From 950 there was a three-axle version with a berth attached to the cabin: this version was the star of the TV series “Cannonball” in the late fifties.
