Marketed since 1969, the Renault 12 was a rather spacious three-volume sedan, which for a few years flanked the other three-volume Renault, the 8. Equipped with a fairly safe behavior, the R12 had limited consumption and was also offered in the break version. . The engine was a 1289cc 4-cylinder, particularly brilliant in the TS version, an intermediate configuration between the basic versions and the sporty Gordini. Produced until 1980, the R12 had a restyling in 1975.
