In the immediate postwar period, Maserati decided to use the 4CL engine on a new tubular frame. Thus was born the 4CLT which in 1948 received a further engine development: the 1491cc 4-cylinder benefited from a new power supply with two compressors, which brought the power from 220 to 280 horsepower. The bodywork was also new, designed by Fantuzzi. The new car was immediately competitive and within a few seasons it scored about forty victories in Europe and the United States, with Ascari, Villoresi, Fangio, Farina and many other private drivers using it until 1952.
Officina 942 is an Italian brand that was born to produce very particular models, initially on a small scale in the style of old 1940s toys. The diecast production was followed by a resin series; the subjects are typical of the pre-war and subsequent years, reproduced with great taste and competence. In 2024, a 1:43 series in the same style made its debut, offering essential models but full of personality and evocative strength.
