At the 1975 Paris Motor Show he presented the long-awaited sports version of the 104. The ZS, with its 1124cc engine, accompanied by a Solex double-barrel carburetor, could count on a power of 66 horsepower and a top speed of 156 km / h, that is 21 more than the basic version. The exceptional road holding (double braking circuit, front and rear anti-roll bar) and its sporty temperament placed it among the funniest small cars on the market right from its release. In 1979 the ZS was equipped with the 1360cc Renault 14TS engine (72 horsepower). In the following years the car underwent several mechanical refinements that brought the power to 80 horsepower. Production of the ZS ceased in April 1985.
