PEAKO - TOYOTA - MR2 SE20 COUPE 1994

The second series (W20) of the Toyota MR2 was produced from 1989 and represented a strong break compared to the angular lines of the first series. The aesthetic similarity with more expensive cars like certain Ferraris was remarkable. The central engine and the mechanical system made one think of a much more performing and safer vehicle on the road. Actually the MR2 was plagued by several handling flaws. The engine performance was brilliant though, with turbocharged engines and aspirated up to 245 horsepower. In 1994 the car received a slight restyling in which the rear lights were modified. The second series was replaced in 1999 by the W30 series.
