With many improvements to the 18 and 25 range, Renault launched the turbo version of the 11. In 1985 the experiment of applying supercharging on medium cars had already started with the 9, which in some markets had not been very successful. The 11 Turbo, however, with its sporty appearance, could still have a certain appeal. Driven by the 1400 engine first by 103 horsepower, then by 115 horsepower (since 1988), the 11 Turbo had a rather brilliant road behavior, thanks also to the particular suspension calibration.
