With the Alpine, the Sunbeam brand, which like Hillman, Humber and Singer was part of the Rootes group, developed an open sports car whose temperament was less extreme than the MGs and Triumphs. Despite this, some Sunbeam Alpines were also used in competitions. This two-seater convertible had a well-finished interior and a level of comfort equal to that of a sedan. The Alpine was equipped with a 1494cc 4-cylinder engine (94 horsepower). Production of Series span from 1959 to 1960.
