In 1954 the DKW presented an off-road vehicle based on F91, with a 3-cylinder 2-stroke engine of 38 horsepower, but with four-wheel drive. The model was to be proposed to the German army. In 1956 the F91 / 4 (this is its name) officially became a military vehicle but a civilian version was soon born. In 1958, a 44 horsepower 1000cc engine was adopted. The vehicle took on the name Munga in 1963: “Mehrzweck-Universal-Gelaendefahrzeug mit Allrad-Antrieb”. Many discarded specimens arrived on different markets. Production continued until 1968.
