The Jaguar C-Type, presented in 1951, was derived from the XK120 but was equipped with a specific frame for the engine, prepared for racing use. It is a 3442cc inline 6 cylinder with over 200 horsepower. With the C-Type, Jaguar achieved two victories at Le Mans, in 1951 and 1953, the latter with a car equipped with Dunlop disc brakes that ensured a clear advantage over the competition. It is estimated that around 53 C-Types were produced up to 1953.
