With the MGA, the house of Abingdon in 1955 marked a clear break from all previous production, which was still marked by the pre-war tradition. The "A", available in spyder and closed versions, had a rather long career, with engines from 1500cc to 1600cc. The mechanics were mostly simple and reliable, with the Twin Cam and Mk2 versions ensuring particularly interesting performance. The MGA also had an excellent racing career, on the track and in rallies.
