With its indestructible 2978cc 6-cylinder engine, well-built bodywork and tank-like appearance, the Volvo 164 was one of the Swedish brand's legendary sedans. Introduced in 1968, it had a seven-year career, up to 1975. Numerous variants and options offered over the years. In 1972 the engine received electronic injection and from 1973 large bumpers were introduced, similar to those of the 144.
