TRON - FERRARI - DINO 308 3.0L V8 GT4 TEAM N.A.R.T. N 18 24h LE MANS 1974 G.GAGLIARDI - J.L.LAFOSSE

The arrival of the Dino 308 GT4 tempted Luigi Chinetti, the American importer of Ferrari (NART for North American Racing Team), to obtain a racing version for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. NART acquired one of the very first examples produced, chassis 08020, to participate in the 1974 edition of Le Mans. The bodywork was heavily modified, with the addition of aerodynamic appendages on the front and rear, Speedline wheels and mechanical preparation. The car was forced to retire. NART tried again the following year but the 308 GT4 did not start the race due to the well-known controversy between the team and the organizers over the admission to the start of the car. The NART Dino has appeared in several historic car events.
