The Targa version of the Porsche 911 993 series arrived with the 1996 vintage, along with the Carrera 4S. The Targa derived from the Cabriolet with a specific roof made up of three glass elements. The standard equipment included a more powerful air conditioning system and specific 17-inch wheels. The Targa had the 3600cc M64 / 21 type engine which also fitted the Carrera.
