The first version of the Golf Convertible is a true legend, and the car was for a long time the only one of its kind on the market. Introduced in 1979, production continued until 1993, and while the Golf sedan evolved with the various series, the convertible always remained the same, apart from a few details. As for the engines, the 1800cc was appreciated for its great flexibility, both in the “quiet” version (90-98 horsepower) and in the GTI version (112 horsepower). From a finish point of view, the latest models, starting in 1991, offer several useful accessories and a slight aesthetic update.
