In September 2000 the Volvo S70 sedan was replaced by the new S60 model, which became popular for a modern 4-door coupe line. The most interesting version was the 300R, with 300 horsepower and integral transmission, produced from March 2003 to September 2007. Other engines were a 2.0 140hp and a 2.4 170hp. The S60 was produced until April 2009.
