Those who thought that the Porsche 911 was too "trivial" could choose the Esprit that stood as its natural competitor. It was equipped with various engines and produced in three series until 1987. Sadly famous for its poor assembly quality, the Esprit also gained stardom for being the James Bond car in 1977 and again in 1983.
