EDICOLA - CHEVROLET - MONZA HATCH SR 1986 - (OPEL)

Launched in 1977, the Opel Monza coupe was derived from the big Senator sedan. With five comfortable seats, it wasn't exactly a sports car. The 6-cylinder engines, often coupled to the automatic transmission, certainly did not have racing characteristics: 140 horsepower for the 2800cc, 150 or 180 for the 3000cc. Restored in August 1982, the Monza was also produced with the 110hp 4-cylinder and the 2500cc in-line 6-cylinder engine with 136 horsepower. The 1983 GSE received some sporty details, including the limited slip differential. From 1985 the 2-liter engine was replaced by a 115 horsepower 2.2. The Opel Monza was produced until 1986.
