The Mehari is one of the very few examples of a project designed by an external studio (SEAB) and adopted by a big manufacturer, Citroën. This lightweight off-road vehicle is the first (or one of the very first) cases of use of thermoformed plastic in automotive bodies. A true icon of its time, the Mehari was produced from 1968 to 1987 with a 602cc engine.
