The 62 was the long wheelbase version of the Maybach presented in 2002 and based on the Mercedes S Series. The engines were 5513 and 5980cc with respectively 550 and 640 horsepower. The 62S was a version with a 612 horsepower AMG engine, while the final version was the 62 Zeppelin. The mechanics were the same as the short wheelbase 57.
