At the 1949 Paris Motor Show, the Ferrari 166 family was enriched with a new coupé called 166 Inter, as well as the single-seaters used in the Sport category and in Formula 2. The construction of the car was assigned to the Touring of Milan, which set up a clean body. and elegant. Just like on the 166MM barchetta, of which the 166 Inter could be considered the GT version, the sides were furrowed by two ribs. As on the previous 166, the engine used was the 1995cc V 12 cylinder.
