The Maybach trim level of the new S-Class was presented in April 2021 and marketed from the following month. Compared to the standard S-Class (marketed since December 2020), the Maybach is longer: 5.47 m versus 5.18 m. The finishes and equipment are of the highest level, for maximum comfort. The Maybach is equipped only with large petrol engines: the 8-cylinder 3982cc (503hp at 5500 rpm) and the 12-cylinder 5980cc (612hp at 5250 rpm). In both versions the transmission is integral and the gearbox is a 9-speed automatic.
