In 1964 Bertone designed a Giulia Sprint Speciale, based on the mechanics of the Sprint GT but more radical. This two-seater coupe could have flanked the GT as the Giulietta SS had done with the Sprint but the study had no further development. The Sprint Speciale bears a strong resemblance to the Iso Grifo A3L, presented a few months earlier by Bertone himself. The cut of the doors, on the other hand, already announces the Lamborghini Miura and the Alfa Romeo Montreal.
