The Tatra was a Czech manufacturer, reputed for its original concepts due to the talent of the brilliant Hans Ledwinka. Production was very heterogeneous, from economy cars to large aerodynamic rear-engined sedans. Introduced in 1938 as the T77A and T87, the Tatra T97 was the smallest of the three models, equipped with an 1800cc 4-cylinder, while the other two cars were equipped with large V8s. The T97, characterized by the aerodynamic bodywork typical of the Tatras of the time, remained in production until 1939.
