The Ferrari 512 BB-LM chassis 35523 was bought in 1981 by the British driver Simon Phillips. After its debut at the 1981 6 Hours of Silverstone, the car was entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Phillips, Salmon and Earle. The last official appearance was at the 6 Hours of Silverstone in 1982, where the 35523 raced with a body just primered. Since 2005 the 35523 has had a second life by reappearing in the Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge in Europe.
