Extremely elegant, this Mercedes coupe confirmed the great tradition of the brand in this category of car. Produced from 1981 to 1991, the C126 series also enjoyed popularity among Formula 1 drivers, who often used it as a road car. The SEC of the debut had all in all modest engines, and only later came engines more suited to the level of the car. It was necessary to wait for the 560 SEC (279 then 300 horsepower) to have performances of a certain tone. AMG then proposed a series of sports variants based on the C126.
