Manufactured in Spain by FASA-Renault and sold only in the Iberian peninsula, the Renault 7 was directly derived from the 5 and had a three-volume body and metal bumpers instead of plastic ones. Appearing in 1974 under the name "Siete", the car was renamed 7 in 1979 on the occasion of a slight restyling.
