EDICOLA - MASERATI - GRANSPORT TROFEO N 64 2004

Introduced in 2005 to replace the Trophy, the Maserati GranSport Trofeo gave life to the Europa Trophy until the end of 2006. The engine was the standard 824 V-cylinder 4244cc with a remapped ECU, which delivered a power of about 425 horsepower at 7200. rpm (the limiter was at 7900). Outwardly, the Trofeo Gran Sport showed a further aerodynamic evolution compared to the previous model: front splitter, flaps on the sides of the bumper and a newly designed rear wing. Despite a respectable weight (over 1300 kg), the GranSport Trophy remained an agile, easy to handle and comfortable vehicle even on the curbs of a track. The new car made its debut on the weekend of 8-10 April 2005 in Monza and the first champion was Alberto Cerrai, while in 2006 it was Maurizio Fabris's turn.
