Upon its appearance in 1970, the Chevrolet Monte-Carlo did not look like a bomb, despite a pleasant line and excellent engines. The V8s with displacements from 350 to 400ci had satisfactory powers, and the most demanding could also choose the 360hp 454ci V8, also available in the LS-6 version. Neglected by the press, the Monte-Carlo nevertheless had more than decent sales results, with a peak of 180819 units marketed in 1972 (latest generation).
