The flagship model of the 02 series, the 2002, underwent constant evolution; the standard version remained in production from 1968 to 1975, and in September 1968 the 2002ti was introduced, equipped with the same engine as the 2002 (the M05 type) but with 120 HP compared to 100 of the normal version, with two carburettors and double braking circuit. The 2002ti thus became the top of the range of the series that would replace the 1600ti, produced for only one year from 1967 to 1968. The 2002ti remained in the catalog until April 1971, replaced by the 2002tii.
