Born in 1960, the Saab 96 used the chassis of the 93 model and would have received, during a long career, several engines. In addition to the traditional two-stroke three-cylinder, typical of the Swedish brand, produced in the 740 and 841cc variants, the Saab 96 also received the 1498cc V4 developed by Ford for the Taunus 12M. The 96 was a very successful rally car, too!
