By 1985 the fashion of the GTI had already exploded and Fiat entered this market sector with a version of the Uno, the small car designed by Giugiaro that had come out two years earlier. The Uno Turbo offered excellent technical content: electronic ignition and injection, water-cooled turbocharger and a power of 105 horsepower for 1301cc. The first series gave way to the second series in 1989. Also in competitions, especially in rallies, the Uno Turbo had a good success.
