The 1300 Simca was the first Abarth to mount an engine (1280cc) built from scratch in the Corso Marche factory in Turin. The body shapes derived from those of the 1000 Bialbero while the platform was the same as the Simca 1000, of which gearbox and suspension were taken up. Also thanks to the limited weight of just 630kg, the 1300 Berlinetta was capable of exceptional performance with a top speed of 230 km / h. Production continued until 1964.
