In January 1987 Greg Garrison, the famous American film and television producer, found the wreckage of a crashed Ferrari 275 GTB / 4, chassis 09813. The chassis was also damaged and a restoration promised to be at least problematic. However, Garrison decided to ship everything to Italy, to get something original out of it. Various specialists worked on the supporting structure and mechanical components (Vaccari rebuilt the chassis starting from original drawings, Sport Auto took care of the engine, transmission and brakes); the bodywork was built in Modena by Mario Allegretti, a point of reference in the automotive craft sector. The new 09813 bodywork was a free interpretation of well-known stylistic features in the Ferrari sporting tradition: the front was reminiscent of the 250 GTO, while the rest of the line was based on the 275 GTB / C. The body was painted dark red and the interior was a combination of leather and black. A roll bar was added to increase structural rigidity and safety. In 2007, the car was presented at the Gooding & Company auction in Pebble Beach, with an estimated value of $ 700,000-800,000, well exceeded by the $ 1,155,000 hammer price. New handover in Monterey in 2012, this time for almost one and a half million dollars.
