Michelotti and Vignale were among the first to coach the Ferrari 212. At first their designs were quite close to those they made for some 166 and 195, but later the designs became very varied and different from each other. A convertible (chassis 0110E) was made for the Portuguese ambassador to France and took the same design as a series of three roadsters (0076E, 0090E, 0098E) but with a greater amount of chrome.
