The BMW 3 Series E30 was produced in several special series, sometimes sporty, which could be a cheaper alternative to the M3. The 325i M-Packet was presented in 1987 for the German market. The car was equipped with a 2500cc 6-cylinder engine, which could be combined with 5-speed manual gearboxes (including the Sport gearbox) or 4-speed automatic. The 325i M-Packet remained in production until 1990 and was available with a 2 or 4-door body.
