The first time that Maserati used the initials MC (Maserati Corse) was in 2004, for the MC12, in a limited series of 50 units based on the Ferrari Enzo. In September 2020, the MC20 was presented. Equipped with a Dallara-developed carbon frame, the car has a 3-liter V6 engine, which develops 630 horsepower at 7500 rpm. Thanks to the use of ultra-light materials, the MC20 weighs 1470 kg, a value capable of keeping up with the 1530 kg of the McLaren GT.
