The Bulldog was commissioned by Aston Martin to William Towns to illustrate the future of the brand by adopting an architecture around the central engine, a scheme synonymous with modernity. Branded Projetc DPK901, this concept car was developed by Mike Loasby, who then left Aston to switch to De Lorean. The 5340cc V8 engine was equipped with two turbochargers and allowed a speed of over 300 km / h. After being unveiled to the press at Aston Clinton on March 27, 1980, the Bulldog was sent to the United States to be exhibited in April in Los Angeles.
