After having collaborated in the creation of the official cabriolet, made his own cabriolets, coaches and coupes, the coachbuilder Henri Chapron did not give in to the temptation to put his hand to the Citroen DS to obtain a representative sedan. A bold challenge, especially since the DS was considered an absolute benchmark in style. The first sedan, the Majesty, came out in 1965, with a restyling in 1968. In 1969 the Lorraine came out, modified in the bodywork. If the bodywork of the DS sedans by Chapron was criticized by many, nothing could be objected to the level of finishes, which were able to seduce a wealthy clientele eager to stand out.
