The Borgward Isabella was also available with an elegant coupé body. With a 1500cc engine, the Isabella was halfway between the less expensive Fords and Opels and the luxury of the Mercedes. The good sales success did not, however, save the German brand from bankruptcy. The Isabella coupé remained in production from 1957 to 1961.
