It is the last single seater driven by Ayrton Senna. A car probably developed in a too short time, to cope with the new technical regulations that prohibited any form of electronic help, including active suspension. Yet this single-seater proved to be extremely competitive, so much so that at the end of 1994 the third consecutive Formula 1 makes title arrived. All that thanks to the six wins by Damon Hill, who collected a total of 11 podiums and the second place in the World Championship, racing with number zero (this because the number 1 should have belonged to Prost, who retired at the end of '93 permanently). But also to the results scored by David Coulthard, author of a best second place in Portugal, and to those obtained by Mansell, who only competed in four Grands Prix hitting success in Australia. Designed by Adrian Newey and Patrick Head, the Williams FW16 featured a narrower carbon fiber monocoque than the FW15C used the previous year. This Williams was equipped with a Renault 10-cylinder V engine with a 67 ° angle of 3,483 cm³, mounted longitudinally and capable of developing up to 830 hp.
