The 240 was essentially a cheaper version of the Mk.II, with simplified and less refined finishes. Launched in 1967, it was equipped with the 2483cc in-line 6-cylinder engine and remained in production until 1968; in 1969 the the 3.4-liter engine was presented. The 240 was built in about 4200 units.
