The Saab 9000 was presented in 1985 as a five-door turbo car, but over the course of its long career it underwent several evolutions in terms of bodywork and mechanics. Already in 1986 it was the turn of an aspirated i16 version, with a 2-liter 130/135 horsepower. The CD also arrived in 1989, with a three-volume body. In 1993 a 9000 with turbo 2.3 engine was presented, certainly more suited to the mass of the car; from 1994 a version with V6 3.0 was also produced, today rather rare. A restyling was carried out in 1991 on the 5-door versions and in 1994 on the CD. There were many configurations: Lusso, SE, CDE, CSE… The 9000 was produced until 1998.
