Initially called 1000TTS, this particular version of the TT, conceived as a basis for competitive preparations, was almost immediately called simply TTS. On the outside, compared to the TT, it was distinguished only by the wheel rims without studs. The engine, however, had the displacement of the 1000 base (996cc), but with 70 horsepower, the highest power in the Prinz range. The TTS accelerated from 0 to 100km / h in 13 ”and reached 160 km / h. Produced in 2402 copies, it is today sought after by collectors. Production went from 1967 to 1971.
